Accessibility Statement

We're committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to everyone. Last updated March 15, 2026.

Our Commitment

Thrive Dental is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to make our website usable and accessible to everyone. This statement outlines our accessibility efforts and how you can access help.

Web Accessibility Standards

Thrive Dental uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our reference standard for web accessibility. We also reference the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act where applicable.

Our site has been developed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines in mind, though it has not undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement. We actively work to identify and resolve barriers and welcome feedback from users about any issues they encounter.

The WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines we reference address:

  • Making content perceivable to users with visual or hearing impairments
  • Ensuring users can operate the site using keyboard navigation
  • Making content understandable to users with cognitive disabilities
  • Building robust code that works with assistive technologies

Accessibility Features Implemented

Our website includes the following accessibility features:

Visual Accessibility

  • High-contrast text for readability
  • Adjustable text sizing through browser controls and our accessibility widget
  • Accessibility preferences panel for customizing text size, contrast, and motion preferences
  • Clear, descriptive headings that organize content hierarchically
  • Descriptive alt text for all images and graphics
  • Resizable content that reflows responsively on all screen sizes

Keyboard Navigation

  • Full keyboard accessibility for all interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators on buttons and links
  • Logical tab order throughout the site
  • Keyboard shortcuts clearly labeled where available

Screen Reader Support

  • Proper semantic HTML structure for assistive technology
  • ARIA labels and landmarks to identify page regions
  • Form labels clearly associated with input fields
  • Skip navigation links to jump over repetitive content

Content Accessibility

  • Plain language writing for clarity and comprehension
  • Clear instructions for forms and interactive elements
  • Captions or transcripts for video content where available (see Known Limitations below)
  • Links with descriptive text (not just "click here")

Mobile Accessibility

  • Touch targets sized appropriately for easy tapping
  • Responsive design that works on all devices
  • Support for common assistive technologies on mobile devices

Known Limitations and Ongoing Work

While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:

  • Zocdoc booking widget: The third-party Zocdoc appointment booking tool has its own accessibility characteristics that we do not control. Users may experience different accessibility features when scheduling appointments through Zocdoc
  • Santa Clara office video: The office tour video for our Santa Clara location does not currently include captions or transcripts. We are working to add these features
  • Embedded social media content: External social media links from Facebook and Instagram may not meet WCAG standards
  • Third-party financing platforms: Cherry, Sunbit, and CareCredit financing links direct to external platforms with their own accessibility standards

We continuously work to improve accessibility across the entire site. If you encounter any barriers or accessibility issues, please report them so we can address them promptly.

Assistive Technology Support

Our website is built with semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks to support common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Windows Narrator
  • Standard keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Space)
  • Browser zoom and text sizing tools

If you experience issues using assistive technology on our site, please let us know so we can investigate and address the problem.

To optimize your experience on our website, consider these adjustments:

Browser Text Sizing

Most browsers allow you to increase text size. Use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Windows/Linux: Ctrl + Plus (+) to increase, Ctrl + Minus (-) to decrease
  • Mac: Command + Plus (+) to increase, Command + Minus (-) to decrease

Enable High Contrast Mode

Most operating systems have high-contrast display settings that can improve readability. Check your system preferences or accessibility settings.

Third-Party Content and Limitations

Our website includes content and services from third parties such as Zocdoc (appointment booking) and social media platforms. While we work to integrate these services accessibly, we do not control their accessibility standards. If you experience issues with third-party services, please contact their support teams directly.

For accessibility concerns with specific third-party integrations, we recommend:

  • Zocdoc: Contact Zocdoc support directly at zocdoc.com or use their accessibility resources
  • Social media links: Visit Facebook.com/help and Instagram.com/help for accessibility features
  • Financing services: Each financing partner has their own accessibility support
